Life is not so good for 16-year-old Addie, who, last year, was involved in a scandal with another math teacher, who was tutoring her. She is being bullied and has no friends. Eve is convinced that Addie is untrustworthy. And indeed, Addie hides secrets she is ready to do anything to protect. This is my first time reading a Freida McFadden novel, so I can’t compare with her previous novels. What I can tell you is that I have mixed feelings about this one. The subject is not new, it has been written, it has happened in life, many, many times. Still, it's good entertainment. The pace is fast, there is suspense and twists and turns that kept me hooked, turning the pages with sustained interest and I didn't want to put it down. The character dynamics are spot on.
